A leader in the crypto space, David Siemer is the CEO of Wave Financial as well as the founder of Wavemaker Partners, Wavemaker Genesis and Genesis. Wavemaker includes seven funds with AUM of $300m in the US and Southeast Asia which have all posted top-decile returns. Wavemaker is the most active investor in Southern California and Southeast Asia, having made investments in over 300 companies. David also founded Siemer & Associates LLC., a technology focused investment bank, which he sold to CEC Capital in 2016. He is passionate about the power of the blockchain to enable a new generation of technology and innovation. David has been investing in cryptocurrency since 2012. David received his MBA from the University of Chicago.
After ten years managing recording artists, Les launched and built successful startups in digital music and cryptocurrency, joined Ripple as an advisor, and was an early investor in Ethereum.
A serial entrepreneur, Les Borsai is the Chief Strategy Officer at Wave Financial and consultant specializing in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. After ten years managing recording artists, he launched and built successful startups in digital music and cryptocurrency. In 2013, he saw the potential of blockchain technology and joined Ripple, one of the largest cryptocurrencies, as an advisor. He was an early investor in the Ethereum pre-sale in 2014, and now provides consulting services to multiple blockchain companies, including RightMesh, YouNo, and Backstage Play. Les is also a venture partner with Wavemaker Genesis.
Former CEO of Merrill Lynch Singapore Commodities and alternative investments at AllianceBernstein. Benjamin holds a BS from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from UCLA.
Ben, a managing partner at Wave Financial, is a trilingual financial executive with 15 years of proven success in developing/marketing global investment solutions for SWF, insurance firms, non-profits, and private banks. He has managed profitable distribution teams in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taipei, and served as CEO of Merrill Lynch Singapore Commodities. Subsequently at AllianceBernstein, Ben focused on business development and distribution of alternative investments. In addition to his work at Wave Financial, he invests and mentors early stage startups in Southern California. He holds a BS from UC Berkeley, and an MBA from UCLA.
Tom Lombardi is a Director with Wave Financial, leading efforts on strategic consulting and treasury management. Previously, Tom was the Head of Growth for the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, working with leading companies on how to embrace the blockchain revolution. Tom discovered Bitcoin in 2015 in search of a more efficient merchant payment system. In his former non-crypto life, Tom was the CEO of a travel ecommerce company, private equity associate at West Partners and an investment banking analyst with Bank of America. Tom received an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Previously, Head of Growth for the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, CEO of an e-commerce firm, investment banking with Bank of America. Tom received an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Marc is currently a Principal at Wave Financial’s early-stage venture fund, Wavemaker Genesis. He has evaluated hundreds of companies in the crypto industry and currently sits on the advisory board of Hypernet and Battlestar Capital. In 2013, after starting his first company, TINCO, which offered an asset-backed alternative to TIPS, Marc discovered Bitcoin. Prior to joining Wave Financial, Marc founded multiple start-ups in the finance and media industries and worked as an investment banker at both Morgan Stanley and Jefferies & Co. Marc graduated the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Finance & Economics.
As the Chief Operating Officer, Jennifer Anderson is an integral member of the team at Wave Financial, partnering with leadership to develop and implement growth strategies and manage key firm relationships. Prior to Wave Financial, Jennifer served as the COO for Wavemaker Partners and Vice President of Siemer and Associates. Jennifer earned her BA in Political Science from Yale University and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Chicago Law School.

Erin Park is a Business Development Consultant for Wave Financial. Erin built her career in tech and the mobile game industry in Beijing and San Francisco. Previously, she was overseeing IP licensing and managing a virtual reality investment fund. She also led strategic partnership development at GWC, a professional networking organization for C-level profiles from various tech companies including Tencent, Xiaomi, Samsung, SK Hynix, Nexon in Asia. Her current focus is on the next generation of technology including blockchain, AI, and health tech.
An Associate with Wave Financial, Jordan is an entrepreneur, technologist and former finance professional who is passionate about distributed ledger technology and its ability to transform our world. He previously worked in technology, media and telecom investment banking for Guggenheim Partners and in real estate structured finance for HFF. He has also worked briefly at Moelis & Company in their investment banking division and at Goldman Sachs in their asset management division. Jordan received a BS in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
Roy, an Associate at Wave Financial is passionate about crypto’s potential to transform global finance and has been involved in the space since 2016. Most recently, Roy led Market Development efforts at the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, helping educate large organizations on the impact of blockchain technology. Prior to the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, Roy worked at Optoro, a late-stage supply chain logistics start-up backed by Kleiner Perkins, UPS and Franklin Templeton. Roy received a BS in International Finance from American University.
Avi, an Associate with Wave Financial first became involved in the cryptocurrency space in late 2016. After graduation, Avi worked as an analyst at Capital One. In early 2018, founded Ledger Group, a research and consultancy group focused on quantitative looks at the cryptocurrency markets. Avi also formed a prominent presence in the crypto community, writing the CryptoAM newsletter which reached a daily readership of over 500 cryptocurrency & blockchain professionals. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BS in Chemical Engineering.
Jessica Gilbert is the Operations Associate for Wave Financial. Prior to joining Wave Group, Jessica was the Public Relations Assistant for Blink Creative Group where she handled accounts for A-list clients including Marriott Hotels, The City of Los Angeles, G’Day USA, Four Pillars and Twenty Four Seven Hotels. Before moving to Los Angeles, Jessica taught courses in Communication Studies at the University of South Alabama, where she earned her Master’s degree in Mass Communications and Media Studies as well as her Bachelor's of Arts in Public Relations.
